How can Learning Specialists and Peer Tutors support you:
Learning Specialists help you become a better learner through the science of learning and can help you with:
Peer tutors help you review and practice previously taught course-specific content and offer study tips to promote ongoing learning. Students can access up to 2 hours per week.

SALS Appointment Policy
1. You may have two appointments with SALS staff per week, subject to availability.
2. Appointments must be with two different specialists for two different supports.
3. You will meet in-person in SALS or virtually via WC Online or MS Teams. Appointments will begin at ten (10) mins past the hour (ex.9:10am).
4. You are responsible for advising the specialists what you would like to focus on. Use your DC Mail or the appointment form to send any applicable documents prior to the appointment.
5. If you cannot attend your appointment, use WC Online to cancel your appointment at least two (2) hours prior to your appointment to avoid a No Show.
6. If you have two (2) No Shows or three (3) Cancellations, you will not be permitted to book an individual appointment with any specialist for the remainder of the semester. You can still attend Specialist-led tutorials and workshops.
